Tips for best results
- Nothing is downloaded during the conversion. Images referenced by a remote URL will be missing from the PDF, because the renderer has no network access. Everything the document needs has to be inside the archive.
- Print stylesheets are respected. If the HTML includes CSS print rules, they influence the output — which is usually an improvement, since print rules tend to drop navigation and other screen-only furniture.
- Very wide tables and layouts built for a large screen will be cramped on A4. Where the source is a fixed-width design, expect the page to be the constraint.
- Choose EPUB instead if the document is prose meant to be read on a device. PDF fixes the layout, which suits paper and suits phones poorly.
